Clarity

One tap to awesomeness!

Clarity is one of the biggest breakthroughs to happen to image processing in a long time. Simply put, it can make your photos look truly stunning with just one tap.

We created Clarity for Camera+ to help turn all the shots you take into perfect photos. Clarity analyzes your photos and makes several intelligent adjustments that magically bring out details and breathe life into dull photos. There’s no need to futz with complicated and confusing controls… behind the scenes, we do all that and more for you through innovative “smart-processing”.

And with Clarity, you’ll stop throwing out bad photos… you’ll be amazed to see what it can do to photos that you’d typically consider unusable, like shots that came out too dark.

The results are so good that you’re going to think that we sold our souls to achieve them.

Original Your typical iPhone photo. Decent detail. Adequate balance between lights and darks. Not bad for a cellphone.
With Clarity: The photo really comes to life. Detail is enhanced considerably. Much better balance. It’s almost hard to believe that this came from a cellphone.
Original: Underexposed. Dark. Unusable. The kind of photo you’d normally tap the delete button on.
With Clarity: Instead of throwing away your memories, you get to keep and cherish them. That’s priceless.
Original: An ok photo. Detail is there but it has an overall washed-out look.
With Clarity: The photo takes on a much richer quality. This is how you actually remember it looking when you took the shot.
Original: A perfectly fine shot. Details, color, and balance are all very good. Not much to complain about here.
With Clarity: It just takes it one step further all around. It makes you love photography one bit more than you already do.

High Dynamic whaa???

When Apple announced that they were adding High Dynamic Range (HDR) to their standard Camera app, people treated it as the second coming. But for all its plusses, HDR has several shortcomings…

HDR: Want to capture anything moving? Think again. Unless you like your cars looking like Picasso painted them, the multiple shots combined together that are the nature of HDR are no help here.
With Clarity: Moving targets are no issue at all. And the photo has an overall richer look to boot.
HDR: Even though HDR typically does a good job overall, depending on the lighting situation, photos can still have a washed-out look to them.
With Clarity: The washed-out look is nowhere to be seen with Clarity. The photo has much more detail, contrast is significantly better, and it has a more striking look to it.
